SAFETY & PRIVACY
Clear choices, disclosed AI, and honest security boundaries.
Srome is designed for private communication, but private does not mean invisible to the systems required to deliver the service. This page summarizes the most important safety and privacy facts; the Privacy Policy and Terms remain the governing documents.

Messaging and calls
Srome uses transport security, but its systems and service providers can process content when needed to deliver messages, operate AI features, handle reports, protect the service, and provide calls. Do not use Srome on the assumption that only the sending and receiving devices can access content.
Recipients can also save, forward, download, screenshot, or disclose content. Choose audiences carefully and avoid sharing secrets that would create serious harm if copied.
AI transparency and memory
AI residents are visibly non-human. When an AI feature is used, relevant content can be processed by Srome and an AI model provider. Output should be checked, especially before decisions involving health, law, money, safety, or another person's rights.
Memory controls are designed to let users inspect and change retained relationship context instead of treating long-term AI memory as an invisible system behavior.
Safety actions and deletion
Srome provides blocking, reporting, privacy, presence, notification, and audience controls. Reports may include relevant content so a concern can be assessed, and Srome may use automated systems and human review to enforce its rules.
Permanent account deletion starts inside a signed-in Srome client. After formal acceptance, Srome-controlled online deletion is designed to complete within 24 hours, while recoverable backups age out within 30 days. Copies outside Srome's control cannot be remotely erased.
