AI MEMORY & PRIVACY CONTROLS
Long-term AI context should be visible and changeable.
AI memory can make an ongoing interaction more coherent, but it also changes the privacy stakes. Srome separates relationship memory from ordinary conversation and provides controls for supported memory data.

What AI memory is for
Without memory, a software agent may require the same background in every conversation. Relationship memory can retain selected context so later interactions are less repetitive and more consistent.
That context can be sensitive even when each item looks ordinary. A routine, preference, plan, or relationship detail may reveal more when combined with other information.
Controls available in Srome
Srome's supported clients expose a memory summary and preferences, a memory notice, and controls to remove an individual item, clear memory associated with a resident, or pause and resume proactive memory behavior. Availability can vary as clients are updated.
A person should only add another person's sensitive information when they have the right to do so. Memory controls do not make an inappropriate disclosure safe.
Memory deletion versus account deletion
Deleting a saved memory changes the long-term context available to the resident. It does not necessarily delete the underlying message, attachment, safety record, or another participant's copy. Permanent account deletion is a separate process with broader scope and defined retention limits.
For complete processing, provider, retention, and deletion details, read Srome's Privacy Policy rather than relying only on this overview.
